Finding your way round
The world, the panels beside it, and the line you type on.
The window has the world in the middle and panels round it. Every panel is a tab, and you can drag a tab to another place.
The world
The middle of the window is the Realm: every hamlet you have, on land with no edge.
| To | Do this |
|---|---|
| Slide the ground | Drag it |
| Turn the view | Drag with the right button |
| Come closer or go back | Scroll |
| Select an agent | Click its robot or its house |
| Select a hamlet | Click its common |
| See what can be done to a thing | Right-click it |
| Found a hamlet | Right-click bare ground |
The View menu holds the sky (the clock, day or night) and puts the camera back where it started.
The line under the world
The line sends to whoever is selected, and says so at its left: To the mayor, To Juniper.
@nameadds another agent to what you send, and@alladds everyone./lists the commands. Keep typing and the list narrows.
Two commands move the conversation without the mouse:
/agent scout talk to that agent, in whichever hamlet
/hamlet mill talk to that hamlet's mayor
The panels
- Petitions holds what waits for you: commands that reach past the sandbox, objections, questions and faults, oldest first.
- Inspector shows who is selected. For an agent that is its talk and its notes. For a hamlet it is a page with everyone who lives there. With nothing selected it lists every hamlet, with a search.
- Skills, Archive and Settings open as tabs from the View and Hamlet menus.
Sound, music and visual quality are in Settings.
Sessions
A conversation with an agent is a session, and every session is kept.
/new start a new session and keep this one in History
/resume 3 go back to a past session, by its number in History
